At the sixth annual Western Rivers Day, members of Audubon Arizona, Desert Rivers Audubon Society, Northern Arizona Audubon Society, Tucson Audubon Society, Yuma Audubon Society, and Western Rivers Action Network partners met at the legislature to advocate for sound water policy. Meetings between lawmakers and water advocates–brewers, hunters, birders, anglers, and more–stressed continued progress after the passage of the Drought Contingency Plan.

Our Pond Needs Your Help!
Integral to the Rio Salado Audubon Center is the pond, a system that supports birds and wildlife within the restoration area, enhances our programming, and gives back to statewide conservation efforts.

The pond gives a lot to Audubon, our community, and our local wildlife. Now we are asking you to give back to the pond. Will you help?

Plants for Birds
March is the month of shamrocks, green beer, and mostly perfect weather here in Arizona—the ideal time to get out in your yard or patio and beautify! Take “going green” for the season literally by adding some bird-friendly native plants to your space.

Consider these stress-free garden additions that are easy to remember—just think of a four-leaved shamrock to ensure that your garden provides sips, seeds, shelter and safety.
