Summer Community Science Needs You!
As we navigate one of the driest years on record, please take part in Audubon’s first-ever Western Rivers Bird Count. Trees and shrubs along rivers are a critical component of healthy watersheds, and a main source of biodiversity in dry western climates like our Arizona desert. By collecting bird counts along rivers, you will provide important data that will help us protect birds and the places they need.

The count kicks off May 5 on Global Big Day, birding’s biggest day, and continues through the end of June.Audubon’s Climate Watch kicks off May 15, and runs through June 15. This program enlists volunteer birders across the country to count bluebirds and nuthatches in the same place to monitor the effects of climate change. Sign up here.

Big News! Tice Supplee Fund in Science and Conservation
On April 17, Audubon Arizona announced a deeply meaningful pathway for anyone to support our work: through the Tice Supplee Fund for Science and Conservation, which fuels conservation efforts exclusively and in perpetuity. Tice herself kicked off the Fund with a personal commitment – and gently challenges all her friends to contribute as well, either through annual gifts to meet immediate conservation goals, or by leaving a legacy from a will/estate or retirement account for future impact.

We’ve set a goal of raising at least $100,000 in outright donations to the Fund by June 30, 2018. Will you be a part of achieving this goal and honoring a dear friend in the process?
