Managing Wetlands in Summer Rainy Season
Water is the lifeblood of the Sanctuary and the conduit through which many invasive species travel. Several of the most aggressive invasive plants at the Sanctuary rely on water for seed dispersal. Water can also pose a challenge to land managers, and swamp buggies and airboats act as crucial tools in this fight.

Members' Day Fun
On Saturday, July 24, Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary hosted the first of four annual, members-only engagement events -- an early bird walk. The event centered around the theme of creating bird-friendly communities by planting native species that attract pollinators and birds. Public Programs Director Sally Stein, a Florida Master Naturalist instructor, kicked off the morning with updates from the Sanctuary…
