PRAC Exists Thanks to YOU!
Dear Friends of the Pascagoula River Audubon Center,

As a premiere national Audubon designated center along the Central Gulf Coast, the Pascagoula River Audubon Center serves as a hub for conservation and environmentally-minded people of all ages. It is through the support of local residents, businesses and industry that the Center can provide conservation and nature-based educational opportunities for children, evening events for adults, and family-friendly activities on the weekends.
PRAC is also a perfect venue for celebrations of all kinds.

For the past six years, PRAC has been an anchor in Downtown Moss Point where history comes alive through the replica Trolley Ticket Booth and the Historic Boy Scout Hut and Museum, and kayakers can envision the buzzing of sawmills along the lakes and river. Because of its Gulf Coast location, the Center is also poised to serve children from all demographics, providing some with opportunities they may not have without PRAC.
Without the financial support of its flock, the above-mentioned opportunities would not be reality. Why do you or will you choose to support PRAC? The answer is different for every member of our flock.
Weldon and Pam Perkins have been PRAC supporters for many years. They choose to support the mission of the Pascagoula River Audubon Center because it helps to draw attention to Moss Point.
“Because Moss Point is the ‘River City’ and our family grew up on the bayou across the street from what is now the PRAC, we want to preserve, conserve, educate and encourage others to see the jewel we call our home,” the Perkins said. “The PRAC includes these same values through the many programs and events offered just a short drive from I-10 to downtown Moss Point.
“Being a member of the PRAC is the best way we can show our commitment and support of the educational opportunities, programs offered, environmentally-friendly landscape, and beautiful facility in our neighborhood.”
PRAC even has flock members who have migrated to other parts of the country who still support the Center.
"Supporting the PRAC gives me an opportunity to support my hometown that gave me such an awesome childhood,” said David Wood who grew up on the current PRAC property.  “Besides that, what a great gift the Center is to Moss Point. I know of people in Nashville who have visited and found it "interesting, calming and beautiful" in its setting and purpose."

Choosing an organization to support is a personal decision and generally is tied to past experiences, interests or passion. That is why choosing to support the Pascagoula River Audubon Center provides donors a variety of avenues in which support may be funneled. Will you continue to support PRAC or are you looking for a place in our nest? Join the flock of supporters who help PRAC soar.
