Blair Visitor Center Update

NEW Hours, Tours, and More in Store for Season

Whatever the season, there’s no shortage of fun at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary. New this fall are BYO Bicycle Backcountry Bike Tours, taking you through a variety of habitats in the backcountry on an eight-mile trek, as well as Beginner Swamp Walks, where you’ll see parts of the swamp typically hidden from the public as you wade through knee-deep water.

From December 16 to April 30, the Blair Visitor Center and boardwalk will stay open until 5 p.m., with the last admission at 3 p.m. Also beginning in December, the Cypress Café will be open with limited hours Wednesdays through Sundays until the end of April. Visitors will enjoy the aroma of freshly baked cookies while shopping or relaxing in the Center. Get admission tickets.

Venue Open House

We hosted our inaugural Venue Open House on Thursday, October 5, and it was a success! Many thanks to the eight local sponsors that transformed the Blair Visitor Center lobby, café, and back patio into an events destination:

Corkscrew Nature Store Has Fall Favorites for Everyone

There’s finally a chill in the air to further enjoy the boardwalk and new merchandise in the Nature Store. Try on a nature-inspired scarf, wear bat earrings, add a spider magnet to your fridge, or hang a bat ornament on your rear-view mirror. Celebrate October!

We're Hiring: Join Our Flock!

Have you ever considered how nice it would be to work at the Sanctuary? We have part- and full-time positions available:

The Membership Sales Assistant will serve as the key contact for Sanctuary visitors and members to drive membership sales and build relationships in the community.
The Visitor Center Assistant will support Blair Visitor Center operations and guest services at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary including admissions, Nature Store and Cypress Café sales, and more.
The Café Cook and Attendant will combine basic food service with customer service.
The Seasonal Outdoor Educator will support nature interpretation programs onsite for Sanctuary visitors of all ages.

Donations and memberships provide crucial support for conservation work at the Sanctuary. The Blair Audubon Center and boardwalk are open daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the last admission at 1 p.m. Online tickets are recommended at www.corkscrew.audubon.org/visit.
