Celebrate the salt marsh at Hammonasset Beach State Park with Audubon Connecticut and Meigs Point Nature Center! Learn all about the amazing birds that call Hammonasset home through a day of presentations, children’s crafts, special exhibits, salt marsh visits, and activities for all ages. Learn more.

Audubon is also thrilled to announce a major restoration project will be taking place at the Hammonasset salt marsh over the coming years! Visit our table to learn more in person.

Salt Marsh Days are family-friendly with no registration required!

Anyone planning to go on a marsh visit should wear boots or other sturdy, close-toed shoes that can get dirty.

A pair of wildlife filmmakers share their experiences making a sequence about the endangered Saltmarsh Sparrow for the upcoming film, Birds of America: Stories to Save Us. Discussion to follow.
