Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary CLOSED Starting March 16
Dear Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary extended family,

Our visitors, volunteers, and staff are our family. In order to protect their health and well-being, and to help stop the spread of COVID-19, we are closing Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary starting Monday, March 16, 2020, until at least Monday, March 30, 2020. Our Blair Audubon Visitor Center and boardwalk are closed to the public, and all events are canceled for at least the next two weeks.

We will continue to monitor the situation with direction from the State of Florida. Staff will continue to protect and monitor the Sanctuary’s 13,000 acres while following CDC guidance and social distancing practices.

As many of us are already complying with thorough hygiene and social distancing recommendations, it is easy to become overwhelmed. The National Audubon Society has put together a "care package" of our favorite videos, photo albums, and articles about birds—we hope it provides a moment of joy whenever you might need it. Click here. As we continue to monitor the situation, stay tuned for updates on our Facebook page or on our website.

Thank you for your understanding during this unusual time.
With warm regards,
Lisa Korte, Ph.D.
