This fall, the new class of Audubon’s Conservation Leadership Initiative (CLI) participants met for the first time at the annual assembly in Gainesville. Journeying from 12 colleges from around the state, CLI students have embarked on a unique program to become the next generation of conservation leaders.
Throughout the year, CLI participants will attend regional events and activities, volunteer opportunities, chapter meets and programs, leadership training, and more.
“Audubon's Conservation Leadership Initiative has provided me the opportunity to engage with an entire community that is dedicated to protecting the world’s birds and their habitats,” says Lauren Puleo, a University of Central Florida student and 2019 CLI participant.
Friend, will you support Audubon Florida this Giving Tuesday and make a direct impact on the careers of these future environmental leaders? Your gift will support conservation of native wildlife and natural places in Florida in 2020 and beyond.
