Shape the Future of America's Public Lands
We have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape the future of America's public lands. With more than 245 million acres of rolling sagebrush hills, deserts, grasslands, forests, and wetlands, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) manages some of our nation's most iconic and loved landscapes—more than three times the area of the entire National Park Service. Right now, BLM is proposing a shift in how public lands are managed, potentially putting conservation on equal footing with other uses. Urge BLM to finalize and strengthen this new rule to ensure the health of our public lands. Comments are due June 20. Act now

Senate Ignores Science With Vote to End Lesser-Prairie Chicken Protections
Last month, the United States Senate voted to rescind the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s decision to list the Lesser Prairie-Chicken under the Endangered Species Act. Since then, the U.S. House Natural Resources Committee has voted to advance a similar resolution. These resolutions undermine science-based wildlife management and put the future of the Lesser Prairie-Chicken in jeopardy.

Thank you to Krazy Karl’s Pizza and Snooze Eatery for providing food for the volunteers who helped us plant the new bird-friendly, landscape-scale garden at Griffiths 1 Solar on Saturday! The garden, located in Johnstown, Colorado, will be our largest Habitat Hero garden to date. Next time you’re in the neighborhood, stop by the restaurants to grab a bite and thank them for supporting birds!
