Nine Native Plants to Attract Hummingbirds in Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah
Hummingbirds have returned to the Rockies region! Have any visited your home yet? The best way to attract them (and support them!) is to grow nectar-rich native plants.  Learn about nine stunning native plants for hummingbirds in a new guest blog from our friends at Plant Select! View them here

Enhancing Protections for the Greater Sage-Grouse: A Pivotal Moment for Conservation
"The current proposal by the BLM to update its sage-grouse management plans is an important step forward,” said longtime Wyoming sage-grouse biologist Tom Christiansen in a recent Casper Star Tribune op-ed. “By focusing on strategic habitat management, implementing open data practices, and advanced adaptive management tools, we can forge a sustainable path for the sage-grouse. This approach will not only benefit the bird but also the myriad other species and human communities that rely on a healthy sagebrush ecosystem.”

Great Salt Lake Levels Rising but Not Healthy Yet
After another above-average winter, many felt relief to see headlines like “Great Salt Lake level reaches seven-year high” populating Utah’s news cycle. While its current water level brings some reprieve to those working tirelessly to secure a healthy future for Great Salt Lake, there is still much to be done. The lake is still three feet short of its healthy minimum level. What will it take to get it there?

A Morning on a Greater Sage-Grouse Lek
Each spring across the sagebrush steppe, sage-grouse perform incredible courtship displays at mating grounds, called leks. But because most leks are remote, few people get to visit one. To share the magic of sage-grouse with you, we created this new video. Experience what it’s like to spend a morning with Greater Sage-Grouse from inside a blind in southern Wyoming.
