Whooo's Up for Helping?
A “gaggle” of geese. A “murder” of crows. What do you call a group of Burrowing Owls needing new homes?

Over 130 of these adorable birds were evicted last year—by no fault of their own—and await placement at sites across the valley. Audubon Arizona’s Downtown Owls program partners with Wild at Heart to mobilize volunteers just like YOU to help re-home displaced Burrowing Owls. The work is hot, dusty, and certainly not glamorous. It will also be a day you never forget.

Sign up for one of our spring workdays to make a real difference for these owls.

Workday dates and locations:
Saturday, March 17 in Maricopa
Saturday, April 21 in San Tan

Email Cathy Wise or call 602-468-6470, ext. 109 to sign up.

Western Rivers Action Network (WRAN) News
In 2016, ill-conceived legislation introduced in the Arizona Senate threatened to weaken Arizona’s Groundwater Management Act and put the future of the San Pedro River into question. WRAN successfully motivated the legislation’s veto, and has since grown into a strong network of diverse stakeholders.

Policies undermining Arizona’s history of sound water management have again been introduced this legislative season, so WRAN once again urges everyone to take action and speak up for our rivers.
