This Fall, Make a Difference for the Birds

Your vote as an Auduboner has become even more important because of the values for which Audubon stands. For 115 years, we have lived America’s shared ethic: gathering freely to share the joy birds bring and taking action across political boundaries.

We want to help make voting easier on November 6: check your registration status, confirm your polling location, and ask your friends and family to pledge to vote for the birds.

You can also make a difference while getting outside and enjoying the weather:

Audubon’s new Garden Club begins Nov. 9, with new planting projects every month.
Join us Dec. 1 on a special workday at Black Canyon Heritage Park to complete a new trail and install native plants.
And lastly, mark your calendars for the start of the Christmas Bird Count on Dec. 14 through Jan. 5. We’re hosting a free training on Dec. 8 to get you prepared!

New and continued support for Nature in Your Neighborhood has opened up opportunities for students and educators alike. Downtown Owls and Urban Hummingbird in-class presentations are both free for any interested classroom! Email Emily Martell to schedule a free presentation today.

Audubon’s suite of education programs aims to transform the nature education experience from linear and short-term, to a multifaceted and versatile program empowering youth to take up leadership roles.

Thanks for Bringing Enchantment to Audubon!

Our most successful Enchanted Trail/Sendero Encantado so far ran on October 5 and 6. Thousands of children and families explored nature by night–witnessing the wonders of coyotes, owls, bats, snakes, and many nocturnal creatures. This was made possible by Merestone, the Michael P. Goodman Foundation, CopperPoint Insurance, Ballard Spahr, Arizona Rock Products Association, Gila River Sand & Gravel, Salt River Materials Group, and GateWay Community College. Thank you!
