Year of the Bird Comes to Arizona
On September 17, Audubon celebrated the Year of the Bird in Arizona after the Governor signed a proclamation. The announcement celebrates native and migratory birds making their way through Arizona and the Grand Canyon State’s remarkable landscapes and water resources that support them. The proclamation notes Arizona’s critical river habitats that provide for “migrating and resident birds, as well as sustain economies and livelihoods.” Read more about the proclamation.

Enchanted Trail, This Friday and Saturday!
Enchanted Trail (Sendero Encantado), our annual bilingual fall festival, runs this Friday and Saturday, October 5 and 6, 5:30–8 p.m. The “nature by night” festival teaches children and adults about Arizona's nocturnal wildlife through a scavenger hunt and several other fun activities.
