Outdoor Recreation Along Arizona’s Waterways is a $13.5 Billion Industry
Arizona’s waterways, enjoyed by more than 1.5 million residents each year, contribute $13.5 billion to the state’s economy and support 114,000 jobs, according to a new report released by Audubon Arizona. The study was completed with guidance from business, civic, governmental, outdoor recreation, conservation and tourism representatives and conducted by economics research firm Southwick Associates.

The fate of birds and people are deeply connected. Our waterways need to be protected, not only for the vital bird, fish and wildlife habitat they provide, but also to sustain Arizona’s economy today and into the future.

Milkweed Sale
Some experts estimate that Monarch Butterfly numbers have declined by ninety percent! You can help this iconic species by planting milkweed.

You metaphorically "feed two caterpillars with one plant" when you purchase Audubon’s milkweed by increasing Monarch Butterfly habitat and supporting our programming. Our plants were organically grown from seeds planted by our field trip students, have been lovingly tended for several months, and are ready for new homes!

Our online sale starts next week.
