The Osprey have been hard at work preparing a nest on site at the Audubon Center. They have taken their nest back from the Great Horned Owls who have nested there for three years.
Osprey typically lay eggs in April or May. The female incubates them for about a month, all the while fiercely protecting the nest with her mate.
Special thanks to Rick Hutcherson and his drone "birds-eye view" photos. Check them out on our Facebook page.
We will continue to monitor the nest for activity and update Facebook with progress.
What nests have you seen in your own backyard? |

During this Covid-19 Pandemic, we know you would love to come browse our gift shop to purchase something for your graduate, mother, and father.
But we can offer you something better until we see you again.
Give a lasting gift by making an online donation to honor those special persons. A letter will be sent to your loved ones to let them know that a gift was given in their honor. What a great way to show your love and support at the same time.
Your gift will go a long way in helping our educational programs reach children and adults throughout the coming seasons. |
